Pinterest Inspired Clothespin Frame

This lovely Pinterest pin inspired me to create my own version to add to my gallery wall in the hall.

This is the one I created.  I used an old frame, some cute little clothespins I found in the $1.50 bin at Michaels, some twine, and some Instagram photos I had printed through Postal Pics.   I actually wrapped the twine around the brads in the back of the frame and then added a little glue to secure them.  I think it probably could use a few more photos, but overall I love how easy it was to do and how it looks.

I am linking up to Shine on Friday.

Insta-Friday - Beach Edition

I am linking up for Insta-Friday today and I have some great photos to share.

life rearranged

Last night we took a drive after dinner to get ice cream and then on the way back stopped at a beach in a place called Island Park.  The weather was amazing and we had a great evening together.

Our Wedding Recap # 2 - The Wedding Ceremony

I will admit it... I was a crazy and stressed out mess in the weeks and months leading up to our wedding.  I was bitchy and moody and spent most nights tossing and turning while consumed with wedding thoughts.  The day of my wedding I was fine.  I was relaxed and didn't have any meltdowns... well that was until right before the actual ceremony.

We had planned to be married outside on the beach and had spent quite a bit of money renting chairs.  When I was having my makeup done, I received a text from my husband-to-be that it was raining/lightening and the lifeguards were closing the beach.  YIKES.  Even then... I didn't lose it.   I agreed to have it inside the restaurant we were hosting out reception.  I didn't lose it until we got to the restaurant...walked up the steps to where the ceremony/reception was going to be and then I was soooo hot.  I asked for a drink.  My dad thought I meant an alchoholic drink and went nuts.... Nope... I just wanted some water...then

I could see slightly into the ceremony/reception area and people were peeking to look at me...and I got overwhelmed and embarassed {I hate to be the center of attention} so by the time I started to walk down the aisle, I pretty much was in tears.  Not because I wasn't happy...not because I didn't love my husband and want to be married... but because every single person was staring at me.  So I cried.

{Madison {our daughter) was my maid of honor and our nephew, Owen who was our ring bearer.  My husband also had a best man.  That is it.  Small, simple, and casual}
{Our guests watching the ceremony...we encouraged shorts and Polos and sundresses and flip flops...no fanch schmancy stuff here}
{Chris presented Madison with a Lisa Leonars designs necklace we had made to symbolize our new family}
{We are husband and wife}
{My immediate family - my parents and my sister with her husband and children}

{Here I am...a crying mess...stupid Blogger messed up the order and I can't get it to go to the right place}

We had a steel drum band...which was going to be fabulous out on the beach.  They moved inside.  To this day I have no memory of the song they played while I walked down the aisle.  Not to mention immediately after the ceremony...we went outside for photos...so by the time we got back in they were done.  We had only reserved them for the ceremony on the beach...so we heard very little.

{All photos are from Amy Sandoval Photography}

The photos got all screwd up when I added captions... so I apologize in advance.  I will have one more post tomorrow to share our wedding reception...candy...dancing...and fabulous food :)

New Photos of Maddie By Our Wedding Photographer

My initial plan was to have our wedding photographer, Amy Sandoval Photography, take photos of the three of us outside of home before our big summer move to Rhode Island.

Well on the day she came, my husband was super sick and in bed.  So I had her just shoot Maddie.  I am so happy how they turned out.  Since my latest obsession is photos on canvas...I was excited to find a Groupon today for a 16x20 canvas {worth $124.95} from Picture it on Canvas - a place where I have ordered from before.  I just need to figure out which ones I want to order.

I also found this great tutorial from Blue Cricket Design by The Sassy Pepper on how to make your own photo canvases.  Check it out here. I am going to attempt to do this with some smaller photos to see how it turns out.

Here are some of my favorites -

Sunday Ramblings...

First of all, I have a great giveaway going on here... check it out.  It is for Print Candee digital clip art/papers.

I booked my very first real life baking job on Friday night.  I am going to be doing wedding cupcakes for my college roommate.  I am honored to be working on this job.  I have been busy browsing Pinterest for ideas and checked out some things today at A.C. Moore.  I cannot wait to share what I come up with.  It will be a great starting point for my baking business.

I have been doing some small jobs for the photographer who shot my wedding in exhange for photos she took for me the other week.  On Saturday I assisted her with a boudoir photo shoot.  She booked a fabulous hotel room.  She shot three different ladies.  It was a lot of fun.  I cannot wait to see how the photos turned out for these ladies...as well as to see my photos which will be finished this week.  Here is the living room in the suite we had as well as the food set up I did {photos using the Instagram feature on my IPhone}.
