I was going to link up to SO WHAT Wednesday... but something has gone awry with Shannon's blog, so instead I bring you my Wednesday Rant...
SO WHAT... if I used profanity on my blog last week. I didn't even really use it, I just posted this saying I found on Pinterest. It wasn't supposed to be offensive... it was supposed to me more of a "Yay Me" I am getting out and about.
I am constantly reading "foul" language in other blogs... but it doesn't bother me. If you do not like something you read about on a blog... then guess what? You do not have to read that blog anymore.
There are lots of things I read that make me cringe or make me mad. I stop reading those blogs. I have never once left an anonymously rude comment. I have never left a rude comment.
You don't need to submit an anonymous comment to the blogger like the one I got which said "I have to say that I have read your blog for sometime and have really enjoyed keeping up with you....but.... I can say I will never visit again...what an ugly word you have used....bye for good and May God have mercy on your soul!".
I don't think I need to ask God to have mercy on my soul... I am not sure how ONE word on a blog can offend someone... Lesson learned... I have made it so people can no longer leave an anonymous comment. If you have something to say, don't hide. Own it.

I am not a fan of cursing but it is your blog...they dont have to read it.
It's your blog and your view - I'm with you 100%. I can't believe how rude people can be.
Glad you found something to give you a kick in the pants and get you out of the house. Sometimes in difficult times we need something shocking to smack us in the face and help us to face the day. This just happened to be what worked for you. Sorry you were left a rude comment!
In other news I just got finished assembling your mac and cheese. I'll let you know how much we love it after dinner :).
Chin up and out :)!
I KNOW I have offended people by what I say. I can offer an apology, but frankly--It's my blog, my opinion and what someone thinks of me based on NOT really knowing me is unimportant. Some of the greatest writers of our time have offended people.
I can't even remember what it was you posted (so I'm going to look now). I'm behind you 100%! I do not allow anonymous posts on my blog. It is cowardly to post anonymously.
Frankly, it is YOUR blog. I try to tell myself that when I get a hateful anonymous comment every now and again as well. But let's be honest... it hurts. It's not like you curse an insane amount or anything. Obviously that person SHOULD stop reading.
That person must be super perfect to never curse or have such thoughts-- and on top of it all, the poster from pinterest wasn't even negative toward someone else! I feel like s/he should've only been offended by its use IF it was directed at people in a negative fashion... but it wasn't!
Gah.
Amen, sister! I love it when someone who doesn't know you thinks it's their job to tell you how to write your blog, or to tell you what they think you are doing wrong, when they have chosen to read the blog of someone they don't know. Sorry...I know it's hard to get criticism, but people suck. Someone just anonymously emailed me last month, and said that they hated me, and because of us adopting our asian daughter, America would never be an all-white country...crazy!
It's your blog and I think if that person has been reading your blog for a while they would understand where you are coming from with that post. Like you said, if you don't like it...then LEAVE!!
