I saw my friend, Erin pinned this the other day. I saw a similar quote once on a blog and a lady went off on how messy houses were disgusting and people needed to clean their homes. I do not think that is what those quotes mean. It doesn't mean BE A HOARDER. It means... if you are in the middle of folding a pile of laundry on the couch and your baby is crying... you are going to go pick your baby up and leave the laundry. Or if you have dishes to do in the sink and your friend calls and wants to meet you for coffee, you are going to leave the dishes and go. Because we all need time with our family and friends much more than a spotless house.
I set out to create some printables of my own using the quote in some different color schemes. You can download them for {FREE} below for personal use only. They print best as 8x10 prints.

I LOVE them Melissa! It is absolutely impossible to have a neat/picked up home with little ones around. I have spent many a day feeling utterly guilty, not allowing people to come for a visit because I thought they would judge me that my sink was piled high with dishes or there was more food on my floor than in my pantry. I realized I had to let go of that fear (I still struggle with it from time to time) if I wanted to LIVE my life and enjoy the company of my friends and family. We LIVE here so obviously things are going to be in a constant state of movement and the process of living life. I wish people would understand, show some grace and not be judgemental about it.
Such a great quote! I feel like there are so many times I need to remind myself of that!
If you were to come to our home and see it spotless, it means there must be at least 1 room with everything packed in it that normally would be on the back of the couch, or the tables, or the floor! haha, no way our house is ever spotless!
i love them, and who cares what else people think! The tan is my favorite!
These are GREAT!!! Thanks so much for sharing them.
